Information regarding the exams taking place on Monday 11th January 2021

If you your child has been entered for one or both of the exams scheduled to take place on Monday 11th January 2021. The exams are as follows:

Cambridge Nationals – Sports Science and Creative imedia

Below are details about the exam and what to expect when your son/ daughter arrives on to the school site. Please note the information regarding mobile phones.

Exam protocols

All students must attend in full school uniform and may only bring their writing equipment (in a clear pencil case if required) and a bottle of water (with the label removed). No mobile phones are allowed to be brought to the exam as the school has no facility to store these due to covid restrictions. Students must maintain 2m social distancing from each other and wear a face covering at all times when on-site, unless told otherwise.

Exam procedures

Monday 11th January 2021 – a.m. examination (Sport Science)

Arrival on-site

Year 11 students

Year 11 students will arrive on site no earlier than 8.50am and enter through the usual gate to the side of reception. Year 11 students will continue to follow the access path to the rear of the Sports Hall and wait to be lined up by our invigilators. Social distancing measures must be maintained at all times when waiting to enter the exam. Any student already attending school as part of our vulnerable or key workers’ children group, will also arrive no earlier 8.50am and follow the external route to the rear of the Sports Hall. On entering the exam room, students are expected to sanitise their hands.

Year 10 students

Year 10 students will arrive on site no earlier than 8.50am and enter through the usual gate to the side of reception and wait on the tennis courts. Social distancing measures must be maintained at all times. Students will be directed to their specific exam rooms by staff. Any student already attending school as part of our vulnerable or key workers’ children group, will also arrive no earlier 8.50am and proceed to the tennis courts. On entering the exam room, students are expected to sanitise their hands.

Leaving site

At the end of the examination, students will be dismissed a row at a time and are expected to leave site immediately via the external routes, observing social distancing and wearing face coverings. Any student already attending school as part of our vulnerable or key workers’ children group, will remain in the exam room until all other students have left and then will return to their on-site work area. All students will be expected to sanitise their hands before leaving the exam room.

Monday 11th January 2021 –p.m. examination (Creative iMedia)

Arrival on-site

Students will arrive on site no earlier than 12.50pm and enter through the usual gate to the side of reception. Students will continue to follow the access path to the rear of the Sports Hall and wait to be lined up by invigilators. Social distancing measures must be maintained at all times when waiting to enter the exam. Any student already attending school as part of our vulnerable or key workers’ children group, will leave their lunch session at 12.50am and follow the external route to the rear of the Sports Hall. On entering the exam room, students are expected to sanitise their hands.

Leaving site

At the end of the examination, students will be dismissed a row at a time and are expected to leave site immediately via the external routes, observing social distancing and wearing face coverings.
