Pupil Premium Strategy

Purpose of the Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium, which is additional to main school funding, is allocated to schools to work with pupils who have been registered for free school meals at any point in the last six years.  Schools also receive additional funding for children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months or are adopted from care or leave care under a Special Guardianship or Residential Order.  An additional payment is also received for children of service personnel.

Strategic allocation of Pupil Premium funding continues to support the school’s drive to ensure that vulnerable groups are not disadvantaged in any way and are equipped to make similar or better progress than other students.

The co-ordination of the Pupil Premium funds and the tracking of student progress is overseen by the Assistant Headteacher – Systems and Processes.
